The dream of achieving higher education can seem even more daunting, especially for those who were diagnosed as children. Physically and emotionally, it’s already hard enough to battle cancer as you grow up before you even add on the financial toll of treatment options. Luckily, there are resources available to help offset the costs of higher education for cancer survivors.

College is a goal many kids aspire to reach, but what happens when cancer alters your charted course? How much more difficult is it to achieve higher education while recovering physically and financially? For cancer survivors like Bri Marsden, affording college can be a daunting task.

Critical Care Comics is proud to grow its relationship with fellow nonprofit Tyler Robinson Foundation.The Tyler Robinson Foundation’s primary mission is to support families struggling with pediatric cancer diagnoses and treatments through financial and emotional resources.

We always love helping the kids smile, but sometimes they crack us up too. Whether it was one little one who thought Spider-Man’s spider was gross or the little boy who is apparently named Why because when Starfire asked him his name, he sarcastically replied with, “Why?” Then he posed for a picture with us.

My first mission was a success, to say the least! I was first greeted by Spider-Man, who was immediately super friendly (obviously, he’s your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, right?) and everyone who followed was just as amazing.

Yesterday, we had the great privilege of celebrating the Johnny Crisstopher end of chemotherapy treatments with his family.
